Is dysport a filler?

No Dysport relaxes the muscles that create wrinkles and a dermal filler "fills" the area to soften wrinkles. Typically fillers are used in the cheeks and below and Dysport and BOTOX are used mostly in the upper face.

Is Dysport safe?

Yes absolutely. Dysport has been used for over a decade in hundreds of thousands of people safely.

What are the side effects of Dysport?

The most common side effects are headache, pain or reaction at the injection site, eyelids swelling or drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea. Speak with your practitioner immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.

What should I avoid after Dysport?

Avoid strenuous activity for at least 24 hours after you’ve left the office. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure, especially without the use of SPF. Do not massage or touch the treated areas for at least one day. Don’t lay down for 4 hours after treatment.

What is Dysport for lips?

Dysport can minimize the lines above the lip.

Why cant I exercise after Dysport?

Because you run the risk of migration of the product and altering the desired results.

What is Dysport used for?

Dysport is used to relax the muscles that create wrinkles but remember a line at rest will NOT be removed by Dysport.

Dysport is manufactured by Galderma. They have more competitive pricing and we are happy to pass that savings to our patients.

What should I avoid before treatment?

Avoid consuming Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil or blood thinners for about a week prior, as it may increase bruising. Do not consume alcohol at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Can Restylane cause blindness?

If they are injected incorrectly near the eye, hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane have caused blindness. For this reason, it is important to only receive fillers from a trusted, experienced, and educated professional.

Can you mix Juvederm and Restylane?

Juvederm and Restylane are similar but have slightly varying results in different areas of the face. Patients can choose to have a combination of Juvederm and Restylane injections to achieve their best possible results.

Can Restylane last for years?

Restylane lasts for 18 months at most. On average, patients achieve Restylane results that last for 6-12 months.

Do Restylane bumps go away?

Small bumps and swelling may result as temporary side effects after Restylane injections. These bumps should disappear within the first few weeks of receiving your injections.

Can you drink after Restylane?

Its best to avoid alcohol at least two days before receiving Restylane injections. Alcohol acts as a blood thinner, so drinking alcohol can cause inflammation and bruising. A few hours after treatment is fine to have a drink.

Can I exercise after Radiesse injections?

Its best to avoid exercise for about 24 hours after your Radiesse injections. This helps to avoid any increased blood flow to your face, which contributes to swelling.

Can you use Radiesse and Juvederm together?

Radiesse and Juvederm have different formulas, consistencies, and purposes. They can be used in combination to treat different areas for the same patient for a completely rejuvenated look.

Can I wear makeup after Radiesse?

Its often advised that you avoid wearing makeup after your Radiesse appointment to avoid infection, but you can carefully apply makeup after receiving injections if you choose.

Does Radiesse build collagen?

Radiesse is designed to stimulate new collagen production, which allows patients to enjoy long-lasting results.

Can you lay down after Radiesse?

If possible, you should keep your head elevated for 24 hours after receiving Radiesse injections. This includes sleeping with your head propped up.

What is Hypderdilute Radiesse?

Hyperdilute Radiesse is the original Radiesse formula that has been oversaturated with saline and lidocaine to increase its spread and effectiveness for larger areas of the skin.

How long does hyperdilute Radiesse last?

Depending on the amount and location in which the formula is injected, hyperdilute Radiesse can last up to 9 months, although on average it only lasts around 6 or 7.

Does hyperdilute Radiesse work?

Hyperdilute Radiesse works just like Radiesse does, by stimulating collagen and elastin in the area treated. However, diluted Radiesse can be more effective in treating larger areas as needed.

How long does it take for Radiesse to soften?

With hyperdilute Radiesse, you shouldn’t feel too much firmness in the treated areas, although it’s known that Radiesse itself can feel firm for up to two weeks depending on the treatment area.

Can Botox age you?

Injecting excess BOTOX in the forehead over time can cause the muscles to grow weaker and the skin to appear thinner or looser. For this reason, its important to seek a qualified and experienced injector when choosing Botox.

Can I go for a walk after Botox?

You can perform light exercise, like walking, after receiving your BOTOX® injections. Wait 4 hours before laying down and wait until the next day before strenuous exercise routines.

Can Botox cause weight gain?

BOTOX® does not cause weight gain, because it does not affect any system in the body that is responsible for building or losing weight. It is also important to remember that BOTOX® or any Neurotoxin does not travel. Each injection, in the hands of an experienced injector, has a spread the size of a dime or nickel.

Can Botox help sinuses?

Some patients find that BOTOX® can reduce sneezing, itching, nasal drainage, or nasal blockage.

Can Botox help reduce headaches?

Many patients report a reduction in the severity and frequency of their headaches.

How does Botox work?

BOTOX® is a neuromodulator, meaning it can block chemical signals which normally cause movement in the muscles. BOTOX® is injected in tiny amounts and safely relaxes the muscles that create wrinkles. BOTOX® slowly wears off over 3-4 months.

Is Botox safe?

BOTOX® is extremely safe and effective in the hands of an experienced injector. You should always verify the authenticity of your BOTOX® and only receive it from a licensed and reputable provider.

Who can administer Botox?

In the state of Florida, administering BOTOX® is considered the practice of medicine, so it can be prescribed and injected by a doctor (MD), physician’s assistant (PA), or advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP).

Is there downtime after dermal fillers?

There is no requirement to adjust your activity level after filler treatments, or to otherwise rest and recover. You should still expect some minor redness and swelling at your injection sites, but this is generally resolved within a day or so.

How long does bruising last after dermal fillers?

This can depend on whether your bruise easily or not. In general, you should give yourself around two weeks for bruising to completely go away, meaning you should plan accordingly if you have an upcoming event.

What if I do not like my results from dermal fillers?

If you don’t like your results from a hyaluronic acid dermal filler (like Versa or Restylane), hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the filler material. This process does not always have the best results, though, so it’s important to do your research on fillers, injectors, and what results you can expect before you go through with filler treatments.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?

The main difference is the way the neurotoxin is made. Neither are a live toxin but both act in the same way by relaxing the muscles that are treated.

Does Jeuveau last longer than Botox?

As both Jeuveau and BOTOX® use botulinum toxin A to treat wrinkles and fine lines, they last a similar amount of time, with effects fading within three months.

Is Jeuveau a filler?

No, Jeuveau, also called “Newtox,” is a neuromodulator that treats dynamic wrinkles by relaxing overactive muscles with botulinum toxin A.

What areas can Jeuveau treat?

Currently, Jeuveau is only FDA-approved for injection between the eyebrows to treat glabellar lines, or frown lines.

Why should I get Jeuveau?

Introduced in 2019, Jeuveau is the newest formulation of injectable botulinum toxin A, the same ingredient that has made Botox so popular since 2002. Jeuveau can be a good option for people who haven’t tried neuromodulators before and are looking for a slightly cheaper option than BOTOX®.

What are the side effects of Jeuveau?

The risks of Jeuveau are the same as BOTOX®, and include soreness, redness, and unsatisfactory results. When administered by a board-certified PA, Jeuveau and other injectables are safe and effective.

What is Versa?

Versa is a relatively new hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler used to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and add volume to nearly any area of the face.

Is Versa better than Juvederm?

Although the two hyaluronic acid fillers are very similar in many ways, Versa’s enhanced formula tends to last longer and results in significantly less post-injection swelling compared to Juvederm.

How much does Versa cost?

The amount your treatment with Revanesse Versa will cost depends on how many syringes are needed to achieve the desired results. The best way to get a price estimate is to schedule a free consultation with one of our advanced injectors.

What areas does Versa treat?

How long does Sculptra last?

Sculptra® can last up to 2 years.

What should I avoid before my treatment?

As with all injections, you should avoid all blood thinning medications, supplements and alcohol for 3 days before treatment. This would include fish oils, Vitamin E, ibuprofen and aspirin.

What is the 5-5-5- rule?

You will need to massage the treatment areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days.

Why do I have to massage Sculptra?

Massaging the areas evenly distributes the particles that stimulate the collagen. We think of it as how the magic happens!

How long does QWO take to work?

Most patients begin to see improvement as soon as three weeks after treatment, although it can take as many as three treatment cycles to produce full results. It’s recommended that you space your treatments about three weeks apart.

How long does QWO cellulite treatment last?

QWO® was developed with the goal of permanent, non-surgical cellulite treatment. Although QWO® is still new to the cosmetic injection market, it has been well-documented that QWO® can last for at least one year. Your results may even last longer, depending on various factors.

What are the side effects of QWO?

It’s normal to have some discomfort, swelling, and redness at the injection site after your treatment session. This usually subsides within a day or two, however. Bruising can be significant so it is best to plan ahead.

Who is a good candidate for QWO?

The best candidates for QWO® are patients frustrated with the appearance of cellulite in the butt or thighs. You should be in overall good health and at a stable weight for best results.

How effective is QWO?

QWO® is still very new to the market, but in clinical studies where participants received three injections spaced 21 days apart, it produced a noticeable reduction in the appearance of “dimpling” caused by cellulite.

Are PDO threads permanent?

No, the compound that makes up these threads is designed to break down in your body, which is why they’ve been in use for surgical techniques for decades.

Can you remove PDO threads?

No, once injected, PDO threads will rejuvenate the skin in the area surrounding the threads, helping to stimulate collagen production until they begin to dissolve.

Does a PDO thread lift hurt?

PDO thread lifts are generally considered painless, and we can offer a topical anesthetic to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

How long does a PDO thread lift last?

Can Microneedling be done under eyes?

Yes, it can be done under the eyes but sometimes the hand piece makes it difficult to get as close as we would like.

Can Microneedling cause more wrinkles?

No it should not cause more wrinkles. If you feel dry after the treatment and dont apply enough moisturizer it could seem like there are more wrinkles. Once the healing process is over it is important to compare before and after photos to determine results.

Can Microneedling go wrong?

It is not likely with experienced providers.

Does your face bleed after Microneedling?

You can experience pinpoint bleeding.

How long does fractional RF last?

We recommend multiple treatments depending on the desired results. Good skin care and maintenance is important to maintain results.

How long does it take to see results from secret RF?

You will see results fairly quickly but we are stimulating collagen which continues to improve over the next couple of months.

How often can you do RF Microneedling?

Every 4-6 weeks.

Is Microneedling better than Fraxel laser?

There is more downtime with Fraxel. We find that our patients would prefer less downtime and additional treatments. You need multiple treatments with Fraxel too.

What is the best procedure for turkey neck?

We like Morpheus for tightening the neck.

What is the difference between Microneedling and RF Microneedling?

RF microneedling is the next generation treatment which combines RF (radio frequency) for tightening.

Is RF Microneedling painful?

We use a good topical anesthetic so it is minimally uncomfortable.

Is Microneedling good for sagging skin?

Microneedling without RF is not good for sagging skin. We prefer Vivace and Morpheus for needling with RF

Are IPL results permanent?

No, unfortunately all non-invasive aesthetic treatments are not permanent because we continue to age. IPL removes sun damage so if you continue to go in the sun, you will need follow-up treatments.

Can IPL damage your skin?

In inexperienced hands, IPL can cause permanent damage.

Can IPL increase hair growth?

An IPL can mimic a wavelength that is used for hair removal. If the provider under treats the area, it can stimulate hair growth.

Can IPL make brown spots worse?

No it is unlikely that IPL would make a dark spot worse. More likely, if under treated, the spot would stay the same.

Can you do IPL on eyelids?

No Laser or IPL should be done over the eyelids unless metal shields are inside the eye and it should only be done by a physician.

If a patient has a history of melasma, IPL can initially make it better and then it can come back worse.

Can IPL remove pigmentation?

IPL is the gold standard device for removing pigmentation.

Can IPL tighten skin?

No IPL can not tighten but it can make the skin look more luminous overall.

Do dark spots come back after IPL?

Dark spots come back if you continue to got in the sun without sun block.

Does IPL get rid of thread veins?

IPL can get rid of very fine veins that create overall reddness.

Does IPL burn fat?

No IPL does not burn fat.

Can IPL worsen melasma?

IPL can worsen melasma.

Does IPL cause swelling?

IPL can cause temporary swelling but usually it will only last for a couple of hours.

Is IPL a laser?

IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light. It simulates the wavelength of a laser but is not an actual laser.

How long does IPL last for rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic condition. We recommend a combination of IPL and Genesis to control but it is not cure for rosacea.

Is IPL or Microneedling better?

I think it is important to do both Microneedling and IPL that is why we came up with the Beauty Club which gives our patients and easy way to rotate through many of the treatments that we offer.

Should you moisturize after IPL?

We always recommend keeping the skin moist following any treatment

What is an IPL Photofacial?

Photofacial is a term coined by one of the laser companies to describe their IPL device. It is trademarked so only they are allowed to use the name. That is the only difference.

Is IPL bad for melasma?

IPL can be bad for melasma because it can come back worse than before.

What are the benefits of IPL treatments?

IPL is great for lightening and brightening skin and reducing pore size and texture.

What are the side effects of IPL treatment?

It is easy to create stripes on a patient if there is a lot of pigmentation or if the overall color of the patient is beyond a Skin Type III.

How long does it take to recover from Plasma Pen?

It can take one to two weeks for your skin to return to a normal-looking state. It’s common to experience some sensitivity, redness, swelling, and crusting during this time, usually beginning one to two days after your session.

How often can you use a plasma pen?

How often should I get Vivace?

This varies based on the desired results. For extensive scarring, such as acne, you may require 3 initial treatments or more to activate the collagen. Results will be seen for the next 3 to 6 months, after which you may decide to return for another treatment.

Can I work out after Vivace?

You should refrain from sweating for at least 24 hours after treatment. After that, however, you are free to resume normal functions.

Can I wash my face after treatment?

Wait at least 4 hours after treatment has concluded to wash your face. Your skin may look and feel irritated, so be sure to use delicate cleansers. If you have any itchiness, you can use hydrocortisone cream as needed to soothe. Your provider will recommend post care skin care products to use to in-between your Vivace treatments.

Can Microneedling be done under eyes?

Do you peel after Microneedling?

No. You may, however, experience some redness and sensitivity at the treatment area that subsides within a day or two.

Does insurance cover vaginal rejuvenation?

No. Vaginal rejuvenation is still considered a cosmetic treatment and not covered by insurance. It may be able to run through an HSA account.
